About this website

Introduction

My name is Ved Tiwari, I am a Sophmore at Middletown High School in the graduating class of 2023. I created this project in the summer of 2020 when the Coronavirus and the global quarantine was in its initial effect. At the time, little was known about the Coronavirus: who it affects the most, how long we would be in quarantine, how different countries are doing in terms of statistics of COVID. It seemed the whole world was concerned with the situation the world was facing at the time. I was one of them. As a result of this, I decided to spend my summer free time programming a tool on the web which helps people understand more about the novel coronavirus, completely free of cost. So far this tool has helped over 200+ unique users in the United States and around the world learn more about the COVID statistics in their countries and the world.

My goal

My goal for this website is to act as a tool for those who are wondering how many lives have been affected by COVID. I wish not only to inform but to provide people with accurate data on these statistics so they too can make their own reasonable inferences on how far the end of coronavirus truly is.

Next Steps

This project taught me how to work with large amounts of data. With this knowledge, I hope to extend my experience in the artificial intelligence field. I hope to one day, incorporate this data with a machine learning program that will learn from the patterns of the data and best predicts future patterns.
